The i3+ is an excellent option for those looking for a an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience but are willing to manually empty the dustbin of the robot when it is full.
Both robots are good at picking up surface dirt on floors and carpets and can maneuver around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home to aid the i3+ in its navigation and clean efficiently. However unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we evaluated the i3+ does not have any obstacle-avoidance features and therefore it could get stuck on things such as socks or power cords and it may have trouble traversing transitions across surfaces like hardwood to carpet.
iRobot recommends clearing areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, which includes putting away any toys or clutter it may come across. It's also an excellent idea to keep the dustbin and filter clean so they aren't clogged by dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or its battery is low, it returns to its docking station and automatically empties its trash into the station's dust bin, and then continues cleaning the area where it started. The Roomba i7+ is able to remember up to 10 floor plans and their names using Imprint Smart Mapping, an application that allows it to create maps of rooms so that it can clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning jobs, and you can control your robot through the app or by voice.
In our tests the i7+ was quicker and more maneuverable than our top choice and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surface types including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though, is its self-emptying dustbin which eliminates a major source of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.
We were also impressed by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to begin or stop cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room, and to vacuum a particular area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. Once connected to these services, we were able use the i7+'s voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and monitoring performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
In a world filled with vacuums with cords that look like minivans or buses, this tiny Dyson model feels like an automobile. It's powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in the majority of homes, yet it is also small enough to fit on a bookcase or coffee table.

In our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and it removed 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). It was not as successful in avoiding taller objects like socks or cords. This was disappointing. It's also more expensive than the other models we've tested, and this could be a deal breaker for certain shoppers.
