The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to provide you with a picture of an object that it encounters, meaning you can tell that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo j7+ is also the best robot to mop we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt effortlessly without leaving any trace that was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app that lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it using voice.
Its design is also an improvement over the rest and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying which is great to speed up cleaning.
In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ was quick to eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place, instead of scattering it across the floor. It even was able to catch small gravel and sand, which most other robots aren't able to do. It did this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
While it's not quite as efficient as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take some time to download updates, and sometimes it's hard to determine if the update is actually working until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your best option is probably one that is a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also come with various additional features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ does not fail to impress. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have some of the features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is an area which many robot vacuums fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is also excellent, with few misses along walls or in corners.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or change the room's label.
If you choose the Q5+ it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is simple. It has a large LCD screen that is very useful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This isn't an essential feature for everyone however it will aid in keeping the track of your robot's maintenance intervals effortlessly.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design and function are some of the top available - but it's also pricey.
Its base station looks good and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is quite compact. The primary selling point of the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions and chores that other robots would leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive and efficient, too. It's the few robot vacuums I've tried that does an excellent job of cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a dock to create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for a robot vacuum that does it all.
If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are many other options on the market. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of making robot vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpeted floors, as well as mopping capabilities at an affordable price. robot vacuum cleaner best to set it up, simply connect one of the side brush and then turn it on. Then connect your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. It is recommended to keep the dock close to an outlet for power and ample space for it to move around, however.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact and will fit under many couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little less ostentatious than some rival models, and features sleek black finish and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The way the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to draw a picture of the immovable items in its path. It remembers the things it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. When it's time to recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning from where it began.
The eufy G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower recurring costs. It is faster to charge, has the same battery life and is more effective on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't require the same amount of emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating heavy materials such as cereal.
